Introduction
Kazzera connects customers with independent food creators and helps coordinate food drops, orders, pickup, and delivery. This Privacy Policy explains how Kazzera collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website, use our services, or contact us. It applies to customers, creators, delivery participants, and other people who interact with Kazzera.
Information We Collect
The information we receive depends on how you use Kazzera and which features you choose. It includes:
- Account and profile information: names, email addresses, phone numbers, login credentials and session information, account roles, preferences, profile images, and information you add to your profile. Creator profiles may include business names, biographies, locations, social links, certifications, and uploaded food or business images.
- Google sign-in information: when you choose Google sign-in, we receive your Google account identifier, email address, email-verification status, name, and profile information made available through the sign-in process, which may include a profile image.
- Order and transaction information: products and creators selected, quantities, order history, checkout attempts, prices, fees, taxes, discounts, payment references and statuses, refund or dispute records, fulfillment details, and creator payout records. Creator records may include legal or business names, payout instructions, and tax-document status.
- Location and address information: saved addresses, pickup locations, delivery destinations, ZIP codes, contact details, and fulfillment instructions. Address validation may produce a standardized address and latitude/longitude coordinates.
- Communications: messages exchanged about orders or creator accounts, support emails, contact-form submissions, message read status, and information you include when asking for help.
- Community and invitation activity: creators you follow, subscription preferences, poll selections and write-in responses, reviews and ratings, comments and likes, invitation recipients and personal notes, referral relationships, link visits, clicks, signups, and reward eligibility. Creators may also provide contact names and email addresses for audience invitations.
- Technical and usage information: pages visited, referral sources, interactions with features, checkout and sign-in events, browser and device information, timestamps, error and performance information, and network information such as IP addresses processed when requests reach Kazzera or its providers.
- Cookies and browser storage: essential cookies and storage keep you signed in, remember your cart, recover checkout, protect sign-in, and remember your privacy choices. Optional analytics and advertising tools use cookies or similar technologies only after you allow them (see Analytics, Advertising, and Cookies).
How We Use Information
- Create and manage accounts, authenticate users, and provide customer, creator, and delivery features.
- Process orders and payments, maintain transaction records, and coordinate pickup, delivery, and creator payouts.
- Send account, order, delivery, invitation, and other service communications; provide customer support and investigate payment or fulfillment issues.
- Operate follows, subscriptions, polls, reviews, referrals, and creator email campaigns, and apply communication preferences.
- Validate addresses, help organize fulfillment, and display relevant marketplace information.
- Monitor reliability, understand use of the service, and improve features and the customer experience.
- Enforce access permissions, detect or investigate fraud and abuse, resolve disputes, and maintain business records for applicable legal obligations.
Payments
Kazzera uses Stripe to process payments. Payment details entered through Stripe’s payment interfaces are handled by Stripe. Our checkout integration does not store full card numbers or card security codes in Kazzera’s order records. We retain transaction information such as payment identifiers, amounts, currency, and payment, refund, or dispute status.
We send Stripe information needed for checkout, such as email addresses, order details, transaction amounts, and relevant fulfillment information. Stripe may process additional information for authentication, fraud prevention, and its legal obligations.
Creators who use Stripe Connect provide onboarding information to Stripe. Kazzera receives connected-account identifiers and onboarding, requirements, and payment-readiness information. Kazzera also maintains creator earnings and payout records; manual payout arrangements may involve additional payout instructions provided to Kazzera.
When We Share Information
Information is shared with the parties involved in providing the features you use, including:
- Payment providers: Stripe for payments, transaction handling, and Stripe Connect onboarding.
- Infrastructure providers: hosting, database, and file-storage services that operate the website and store records or uploaded media. The service includes MongoDB database storage and a Vercel Blob integration for uploaded files.
- Google services: Google for optional sign-in, address validation when enabled, and Google Analytics if you allow analytics.
- Analytics and advertising providers: Mixpanel for product analytics if you allow analytics, and TikTok for advertising measurement if you allow advertising and the TikTok Pixel is enabled.
- Communication providers: email infrastructure for transactional messages, invitations, support, and campaigns; Twilio for opted-in SMS features when enabled. These providers receive recipient details and message content needed to send communications, and may return delivery or error information.
- Monitoring providers: Sentry for error and performance monitoring, with data filtering and redaction. Sentry session replay is currently turned off.
- Marketplace participants: creators receive relevant customer contact, order, and fulfillment details. Assigned delivery participants receive information such as customer names, contact details, delivery addresses, and instructions needed to complete their work. Messages are available to their authorized conversation participants and relevant support personnel.
- Public audiences and invitation recipients: creator storefronts, published profile information, images, reviews, and community content may be visible to other users or visitors. Invitations disclose the invitation content and information needed to identify the invitation to its recipient. Avoid including information you do not want others to see in public content.
- Authorized personnel and legal recipients: personnel who administer or support Kazzera may access information within their responsibilities. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or valid legal process, or as reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect people, enforce agreements, or resolve disputes.
How Information Is Shared
Information may be transmitted electronically through service connections, payment and sign-in interfaces, email or SMS delivery, and authorized marketplace dashboards or messages. For example, an order can be transmitted to Stripe for payment processing and displayed to the creator and assigned delivery participant for fulfillment. Public content is shared by displaying it on the website.
Service providers may process information on systems in locations different from where you live, depending on the provider and how the service is configured.
Analytics, Advertising, and Cookies
Analytics and advertising are optional and off until you choose otherwise. On your first visit, Kazzera asks for your choice. Essential cookies and storage are always used because the site needs them to work. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time with the “Privacy choices” link in the site footer or on this page. Your choices are stored in a first-party cookie for Kazzera and its creator storefront addresses. When you are signed in, they are also saved to your account so they apply to analytics processed on our servers. If this browser and your account disagree, the more restrictive choice applies.
Analytics (Google Analytics and Mixpanel), only if you allow analytics: page views and interactions such as discovery, sign-in, cart, checkout, and commitment activity. For signed-in users, this can include an internal account identifier and account role, and Mixpanel may also receive events from our servers about your orders, Drop commitments, follows, and reviews, and, for creators, the Drops you create or publish. Analytics is therefore not limited to anonymous aggregate counts. We do not send your name, email address, street address, review text, or payment card details to these tools, and sensitive invitation and authentication information is filtered from analytics events and URLs.
Advertising (TikTok Pixel), only if you allow advertising and the pixel is enabled: page views and actions such as viewing a Drop, adding to cart, starting checkout, and completing registration, to measure whether our TikTok ads bring people to Kazzera. Kazzera sends Drop identifiers, quantities, prices, and currency, not your name, email address, or order details. TikTok also receives technical information from your browser, such as cookies, device and browser details, the page address, and IP address, and handles it under its own privacy policy. The pixel is not used on sign-in, account, dashboard, invitation, or unsubscribe pages.
Depending on where you live, the law may treat advertising measurement as “sharing” personal information or as “targeted advertising.” You can decline or withdraw advertising at any time. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Kazzera treats it as a request to opt out, and advertising stays off in that browser.
When you withdraw a choice, Kazzera stops future collection by that tool in your browser and removes the cookies it can remove. Withdrawing does not delete information that was already collected; contact us for requests about that information. Sentry helps diagnose errors and performance problems as part of operating the service; its session replay feature is currently turned off.
Data Security
Kazzera’s safeguards include authenticated sessions, role- and relationship-based access controls, restricted administrative functions, and filtering of sensitive monitoring information. Production authentication cookies are configured for secure transport. Payment and authentication provider connections use HTTPS, and sensitive manual payout details are encrypted by the application.
These technical controls support administrative and organizational limits on who can access account, order, and operational information. We use established providers such as Stripe for payment handling rather than collecting card details in ordinary Kazzera forms. No method of transmission, storage, or access control can guarantee complete security.
Data Retention
Information is retained as needed to provide the service, maintain account and transaction history, support business and legal records, investigate issues, resolve disputes, and satisfy applicable obligations. Retention depends on the type of information and the reason it is held.
Changing a profile or requesting account deletion does not necessarily remove historical orders, payment records, audit records, or information that must be preserved. Contact us to discuss a specific record or retention question.
User Choices and Rights
- Account details: use the available account settings to update profile information, manage saved addresses, change your password, or request an email-address change.
- Marketing email: use the unsubscribe links in creator marketing emails to manage the preferences offered there. Unsubscribing from marketing does not necessarily stop account, security, order, or other service messages.
- SMS: manage SMS preferences in your account where available. You can also reply STOP to supported Kazzera SMS messages to opt out.
- Analytics and advertising: use “Privacy choices” in the site footer or on this page to allow, decline, or withdraw analytics and advertising separately. Kazzera also honors the Global Privacy Control signal for advertising.
- Browser settings: you can manage cookies and local storage through your browser. Blocking or clearing them may affect sign-in, your cart, or other functionality. Clearing cookies also clears your privacy choices for that browser, so Kazzera will ask again.
- Privacy requests: contact hi@kazzera.com to ask about access, correction, or deletion of your information. We may need to verify your identity and understand your request. Available rights vary by jurisdiction, and requests may be subject to legal requirements and record-retention needs. The service does not currently offer a general self-service account-deletion button.
Children’s Privacy
Kazzera is a food marketplace for customers and food businesses, not a service designed for young children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Kazzera, please contact us so we can review the situation and address it as appropriate under applicable law.
Third-Party Services
Third-party services and websites have their own privacy practices. This includes Stripe, Google, Mixpanel, TikTok, and websites linked from creator profiles. Review their policies when using those services or providing information directly to them. This policy describes Kazzera’s practices and does not replace those third-party policies.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change. The effective date identifies the version shown on this page. Please review this page periodically for updates.
